Make it tangible
Move from discussion to a prototype, test or useful artefact as early as possible.

We bridge academia and industry by bringing students together to build real projects, learn from one another and connect with Sydney's technology community.
Coursework builds foundations. Projects create the space to apply them, make decisions with incomplete information and learn how a team works in practice.
Students from every UTS faculty and experience level: from first-year students looking for a place to start to experienced builders ready to share what they know.
Our approach
Move from discussion to a prototype, test or useful artefact as early as possible.
Strong projects combine technical, creative, commercial and human perspectives.
Industry conversations help students understand how ideas survive real constraints.
Project Society was founded in 2025 as a student-led nonprofit community. Its public LinkedIn profile describes a mission to bridge academia and industry through meaningful projects, collaboration with Sydney’s technology community, and practical career-oriented learning.
This MVP uses that public mission as its editorial foundation. Committee members can refine the wording through the repository as the society’s direction evolves.
